JOHN EAGLESHAM

Chief Executive

John is ADI’s Chief Executive and as well as running the company plays a key role in stimulating, leading and communicating ADI’s creative innovations using MyPathway. John is highly focused on delivering solutions tailored for each of our customers, and is a passionate advocate of the use of digital technology to benefit and empower patient and the broader community.

John has led ADI into the field of Digital Health and has featured on BBC’s Look North, ITV, and national press articles as a digital health innovator. John became Chief Executive of ADI in 2009, and has led the company from its origins as a not-for-profit institute to its current position as a thriving, fast-growing, entrepreneurial SME, having raised over £10M in innovation funding and £2M in growth capital along the way.. Prior to joining ADI, John worked for Pace, the TV set-top box company, for 9 years in product delivery, engineering management, and senior management. John has a BSc in Physics and an MSc in Electronic Systems Design.

John contributes to several key industry groups in the Assisted Living and Smart Metering sectors and advises a number of public and private sector policy-making bodies. He is also a qualified executive coach who works with a number of FTSE 250 company directors.

JUDITH CLARKSON

Commercial Director

With 27 years commercial experience in a range of industries, Judith joined the ADI team in autumn 2017. Having previously worked for Virtual College, bringing e-learning into the commercial mainstream, Judith was delighted to get involved with another disruptive technology. Since joining ADI, Judith has worked closely on our flagship deployment of MyPathway across the Sheffield city region, led the set-up of MyPathway in North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, and is currently engaged in deploying MyPathway to support health and social care organisations to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic.

Judith is also the commercial lead for our emerging StepUp! and LetMeShowU! products

Originally from Northern Ireland, Judith has spent all her professional life in Yorkshire and her diverse roles have included working for the Toyota Group, establishing a new automotive parts factory in South Yorkshire (Toyoda Gosei UK Ltd.); leading inward investment from the Far East for Yorkshire Forward; and increasing exports for white goods manufacturer, Crosslee Plc.

Judith has a 2:I Dual Honours degree in Japanese and Business Studies from the University of Sheffield.

BOB GOMERSALL

Chair

Bob is the Chair at ADI, a highly successful entrepreneur, company director and technologist. Bob founded the pioneering e-assessment company BTL in 1985 and e-learning company Virtual College in 1995. These companies employ several hundred people and are continuing their spectacular growth (Virtual College registered its three millionth learner in 2019). Bob has guided ADI to its present success as an outstanding technology innovation business.

Bob specialises in Chairmanship, innovation, business strategy, business start ups, business growth.

KEITH MYERS

Non-Executive Director

Keith is a Non-Executive Director at ADI and the current Managing Director of BTL.

Keith has a background in Operations and Finance, and brings a wealth of experience in high-growth strategies for SMEs to support ADI’s continued development.

PHIL WEBB

Non-Executive Director

Phil has over 20 years’ experience working in the telecoms and healthcare sectors for companies such as EMIS Group, Cable & Wireless, BP, Plusnet, BT and Logica.

Whilst at EMIS Group Phil was responsible for large teams in the UK and India delivering highly strategic initiatives.

As well as his technical expertise, he brings significant experience of delivering innovation and operational excellence across these organisations with a detailed understanding of healthcare and the NHS.

SALLY ABBATT

Operations Manager

Sally is ADI’s Operations Manager and a key member of the management team. Sally began working with ADI in 2010 and took on the role as company financial controller in 2011, moving to Operations Manager in 2017.

Sally successfully managed ADI’s financial transition from the original not-for-profit entity through to the current fully commercialised organisation and co-ordinated the initial first round investment.

She has brought consistency and process to the business with an analytical and logical approach.

Sally also works with the Chair, Bob Gomersall, across all his businesses.

SIMON BRAMWELL

Solution Architect

Simon is ADI’s Solutions Architect. He specialises in working closely with our customers to establish how the functionality of MyPathway can deliver the service transformations they need. Most recently, Simon has been involved in mass messaging to support the spread of vital information to patients in light of the COVID-19 crisis.

Simon has over 25 years experience in consumer electronics with Philips Semiconductors and NXP. He was a member of the Management Team of NXP UK, managing design departments in hardware, embedded software and customer support. Since 2008 he has been pursuing his interests in Assisted Living, Telehealth and Telemedicine, initially with NXP and then through Technology Strategy Board projects among small entrepreneurial innovators developing new ideas from concept to product.

A Physics graduate of Manchester University, he also holds a Masters in Electronics from Southampton University, and is a Prince2 Practitioner.

NIGEL DALLARD

System Architect

Nigel is ADI’s lead expert on Information Architectures, integration with NHS IT networks and third-party record systems. Nigel is ADI’s Data Protection Lead and manages compliance with Clinical Safety standards. Nigel led ADI’s 2015 national project on Interoperability, “i-focus”.

Prior to joining ADI as Principal Technologist in March 2008, Nigel spent 20 years developing digital broadcasting technology. He has provided strategic technical advice to ADI’s high-tech client companies on a number of telehealth-related projects, internet and smart-phone security, digital rights management on the internet, and internet media streaming.

TRACEY PAUL

Company Bookkeeper & General Office Manager

Tracey joined the ADI team as Company Bookkeeper and General Office Manager in February 2018.

Tracey brings over 26 years’ experience in all aspects of bookkeeping and general management, she has worked in many industries, from logistics to HR, with a variety of finance systems. She is highly motivated and very much looking forward to assisting the finance team in all facets.

Outside of work, Tracey enjoys spending her time as the Treasurer for a local pre-school charity, a primary school parent governor and being with her family.

CLARE TAYLOR

Programme Manager

Clare joined the ADI team in January 2020, and has 21 years Project and Programme Management experience in the Financial Services & Educational Publishing industries. The projects Clare has worked on range from installing a point of sale shopping unit in the aisles of Dudley Merry Hill Shopping Centre for Abbey National, to producing print and digital products and managing large programmes of projects including online assessment platforms for Nelson Thornes, Pearson Education & Oxford University Press. Over this time, Clare has also performed the roles of Product Owner, Scrum Master, Platform Manager, Tester & Test Manager, & the all important role – tea maker!

Clare was delighted when the opportunity of joining the ADI team arose, as she’s extremely excited about working in the Healthcare Industry and to help make a difference.

Originally from Milton Keynes, Clare has lived in West Yorkshire (this time round) for the last 4 years, and enjoys spending time with family & friends, playing tennis, ice skating, baking, and is in training for her next marathon with her sister who lives in Australia. Training runs with her are few and far between!

AMY ALI

Product Owner

Amy joined the ADI team in January 2020. Amy started her career in first and second-line support within the education sector, where she gained a love for SQL programming and all things tech!  With experience as an IT Business Analyst in the manufacturing industry looking after the company’s ERP system, Amy is now a qualified Product Owner in healthcare. Amy is passionate about healthcare from her work at EMIS Health and is excited to continue her healthcare journey at ADI! Amy owned all EMIS Internal Systems and also Medications for Scotland, where she worked closely with clinicians from England and Scotland to ensure the clinical safety, innovative UI design and ease of use for clinicians were always a priority.

Also a qualified Scrum Master, Amy includes scrum practices in her healthcare journey. She runs her own agile coaching sessions to inspire her scrum teams and has a flare for very creative Retrospectives!

Amy’s hobbies include, hiking across the Lake District, Peak District, spinning, weight training, volunteering at Airedale Hospital, baking and all things agile!

PETER TILEY

Software Architect

Peter is the brains behind the MyPathway architecture, databases and the Business Process Rules Engine that makes MyPathway so powerful, flexible and adaptable. Peter sets the strategic direction for MyPathway’s core technology and is responsible for the overall performance and integrity of the system.

Prior to joining ADI in 2008, Peter spent 10 years developing software applications within the defence and electronics industries. Physics simulations, real-world simulations, mathematical modelling, 3D visuals and artificial intelligence are some of the application areas covered while working on military flight simulators, ship mounted radar systems, aeronautical engineering tools and defence related research projects.

RICHARD BOYLE

Senior R&D Software Engineer

Richard joined ADI as a Senior Software Engineer in September 2012, bringing over 18 years of experience of designing, developing and testing embedded software.

He has a comprehensive portfolio of past projects, ranging from laboratory robotics, and instrumentation in the life sciences sector, to motorway control centres and roadside boxes. His experience includes GUI design, web programming, network communications protocols, control applications, and production monitoring.

He is a keen amateur aviator, and can often be spotted flying a paraglider over the Yorkshire Dales or the Lake District.

DAN STAPLETON

Product UX Owner

Dan joined ADI in early 2016 as a Software Engineer. Dan is responsible for the overall user experience of MyPathway, for clinicians, administrators and carers as well as patients themselves.  Dan works with MyPathway customers and client groups to co-design user journeys through interactive sessions, rapid development, and demos.

Dan has worked in web development and online marketing for over 18 years, having started out writing technical software documentation. He has developed, designed and managed everything from small business micro-sites to large corporate online presences. Outside of work, Dan enjoys cycling, beer-brewing and walks with his family.
